Receiving

Deliveries are checked in by individual pallet or carton. All relevant information is entered into the system and a licence plate is assigned. This is a unique licence number, which is printed onto a label. Usually being an SSCC (Serial Shipper Container Code) and fully EAN compliant.

Putaway

The WMS transmits the licence number and a vacant position within the warehouse via radio frequency terminal to a store person. The store person is instructed to scan the licence plate and is directed to a designated location, scans the position number on the shelf to verify the location is correct and places the pallet in the location.
 
Cross Docking

The system has a range of cross docking facilities, which allows for receipt and subsequent distribution of product without it ever having to be stored in a conventional sense.

Order Picking

The system ensures that orders are picked in priority, spread over the pool of pickers. The correct product can be automatically determined by FIFO, LIFO, batch or use by date. Picking can be undertaken from fixed or random picking faces.

Replenishment

The system monitors the number of full pallets, cartons or units in a picking face and automatically produces a replenishment request when a nominated replenishment level is reached.

Interleaving

For example, a store person utilised in the putaway process is automatically instructed to retrieve a required pallet from that area of the warehouse and return it to dispatch. This minimises worthless travel time.

Dispatch

Finished orders are brought to the dispatch area or dock via the store person. After verifying the drop location the warehouse management system can automatically print out transport documentation and dispatch labels. The warehouse management system will also notify the ERP/Accounting System of the exact number of products picked for that order and an invoice can be generated.

Pallet Type Tracking

Tracks any type of transport media such as Slip Sheet, Chep Pallet, Loscam Pallet, In-house Pallet, Cage, Plastic Containers, etc. from receiving to dispatch throughout the warehouse.

Batch/Lot Tracking

Automatically track batch/lot information of all products throughout the warehouse. Comprehensive product recall capabilities.

Random Weight Tracking

Exact weight of product captured for billing purposes. Fully compliant with EAN including serial number tracking if required.

Serial Number Tracking

Can be recorded via Radio Frequency Equipment during receiving. Individual serial number is then validated in real time with RF Equipment during order picking. A full audit trail is available.

Load Planning/Truck Loading

Load planning for cube and weight. Load sequencing according to drop off sequence. Truck loading with verification of correct truck via Radio Frequency Equipment.

Dangerous Goods Management

Automated storage segregation according to UN-Code/Hazard Class. Also automated product segregation during order picking.

Third Party Logistics and Multi Owner Mode

With numerous facilities and over a decade of working with 3PL providers, Paperless Warehousing recognise that the demands and requirements on a contract warehouse operator are unique to most other businesses. Our system enables a single warehouse facility to service multiple business units or clients by tracking and accurately capturing information relating to each client’s product and activity.

The Multi-Owner module provides a versatile and flexible solution for 3PL companies and companies that want to keep product segregated for different business units. The system recognises inventory stored on behalf of different clients with product recognisable by product number and owner.

Multi-Owner and Third Party Billing

We understand that a substantial element of third party revenue is raised through the movement and storage of client’s products. Stock movements in both pallets and units are totally visible providing comprehensive and extremely accurate assessment of client activity. This information provides our versatile Billing System with accurate records for services provided. The system ensures all activities are logged, maximising revenue and precluding the need for a separate billing process.

Advanced Dock/Yard Management

The versatile Dock Management Module is designed to manage the scheduling of trucks delivering to or collecting from your facility. With arrivals and departures visible across the entire system all deliveries are forecast. This allows for the planned receipt of product and release of orders within the warehouse.

The Dock Management module automatically manages truck loading and unloading schedules maximising throughput and minimising delays.

Truck arrival and departure times can be captured and audited either automatically via fixed head scanners at the gate or manually by an operator on a fixed screen.

Container Park Management

The Container Park Management Module enables efficient tracking of containers throughout a warehouse site or container park. Using radio frequency technology and the container number as a reference, the WMS automatically manages the location of each container. This increases productivity in terms of storage utilisation and container retrieval time.

With the WMS interfaced with a weighbridge, the module also enables weight verification of products received or dispatched. The system also tracks the content and status of each container identifying which are full, empty, clean, unclean, to be cleaned etc.

The system automatically creates accurate audit trails of each container. Tracking and verification of products from a particular container ensures client notification or product recall is quick and easy.

Production Management

The Production Management Software module enables the tracking of all products and materials throughout the manufacturing process. Utilising the same works number, the system ensures the correct quantity of raw material is picked and delivered to production. Along with receiving in the finished goods, it also captures the amount of wastage produced during the manufacturing process.

Raw materials can be drip feed to the production line in the sequence of use.

High Frequency Batch Picking (HFBP)

Developed specifically for the high-volume retail market with ever changing products, the HFBP module is designed to give you the highest throughput for every product in your warehouse.

It provides high volume order picking of products from a bulk storage location to a batch-picking zone. There they are broken down into the individual orders. By using EAN compliant labelling, the warehouse management system is in control of where the product is and where it is to be placed at all times.

VoiceTrak: Interactive Voice System Module

VoiceTrak is a voice module, which is fully integrated with Paperless Warehousing's warehouse management system (WMS) and allows the entire functionality of the warehouse to be managed with voice technology.

Using non-proprietary standard industrial hardware and headsets, VoiceTrak is completely interactive and operates in conjunction with the Paperless Warehousing WMS in real time. Every warehousing function can be managed on VoiceTrak in an interactive manner, including receiving, put-away, cross-docking, order-picking, cycle counting, replenishment and stocktaking.

Totally driven from the Paperless Warehousing system the operator is given the same online/real time benefits as existing RF users, plus the benefit of hands and eyes free. The VoiceTrak module can be run concurrently with existing RF equipment.

Web Access

Web Access is a internet / intranet browser based module, which is fully integrated with Paperless Warehousing's Warehouse Management System (WMS) and allows customers of 3PL clients access to up to date information (in real time) of their inventory and order status.
